What is the idyll mattress made of?

We've created a mattress with 6 individual layers - all of which work in unison to provide exceptional comfort and support. We have combined cooling gel memory foam with an exclusive combination of mini springs and larger pocket springs, for a superior sleeping experience.

How firm is the idyll mattress?

The question of mattress 'firmness' is complicated. We've tried to simplify things by creating just one medium/firm mattress – engineered to offer the best possible support.

I get hot at night and have heard memory foam mattresses overheat. Is this the case with the idyll mattress?

Memory foam is known to be generally warmer than natural materials, however our experts have infused our foam with an advanced cooling gel that actively works to keep you cooler. This goes hand in hand with an increased airflow system to help ventilate the mattress.

What surface can I use the idyll mattress on?

We'd always recommend using a suitable bed frame - slatted or divan - either works just fine!

How deep is the idyll mattress? Will my sheets fit?

Every cm counts! We've worked hard to make the idyll mattress as deep as possible. It’s 27 cm in height – that’s one of the deepest box mattress in the UK market. Your sheets will fit just fine.

Are you based in the UK?

Yes we are! The idyll HQ is based in sunny Worthing on the beautiful Sussex coast. We can almost see the sea from our office window!

Can you take away my old mattress?

Yes! We know it is a pain to dispose of an old mattress, so for a small additional cost of £40, our courier will happily take away your used mattress. You can add this service at checkout.

Are your products guaranteed?

Yes, we're proud to offer a 10 year guarantee on each idyll mattress. idyll pillows automatically come with a 1 year guarantee. The mattress protector has a 1 year guarantee.

Delivery

When is delivery available?

Delivery is between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday. Weekend delivery is not available.

Do I need to be at home and sign for my delivery?

Your purchase is a considerable investment and we will only ever deliver to you at your address. If you're not at home at the agreed time, then the product will be returned to us. An £80 non-delivery fee will be charged.

Can I choose a delivery time and date?

We will aim to deliver your purchase within 3-5 working days. Once you've received your order confirmation by email, you’ll be contacted by our delivery partner. They will confirm the delivery date and a 3-hour time slot with you. If it’s not suitable, you’ll be offered an alternative date.

Do you deliver to my room of choice?

Absolutely! We will always deliver your mattress to your room of choice – at no extra cost. You really don't want to be trying to get a heavy mattress up the stairs on your own - our 2-man delivery service will handle it!

Aftercare

I have unboxed my mattress, how long until bedtime?

Your mattress can be used after just 2-4 hours but, if you can wait, we recommend allowing 24-48 hours for full expansion.

Do I need to turn my mattress over?

The unique layers of an idyll mattress means that you don't need to worry about flipping. It’s always a good idea to rotate the mattress though. We recommend doing this once per month for the first 3 months, then every 3-6 months for the rest of its life. This best practice will not only keep the mattress in tip top condition, but it’ll also meet the conditions of your 10 year guarantee.

Can I wash the mattress cover?

We don't recommend trying to machine wash your mattress cover – it will be nearly impossible to get back on! Simply sponge wash the cover if you feel the need.

Do I need a mattress protector?

Our mattress protector will help to keep your mattress in tip top condition! You don't have to use one, but we'd recommend it to keep your mattress fresh and pristine. Our 100% cotton mattress protector is naturally breathable and adds another thin layer of comfort.

Return and Exchanges

Can I return my idyll mattress protector, bed frame or pillow?

You have a 100-night return period for the idyll mattress and 14 days for any other product. For these products (except the mattress) we ask that they have never been used. Email us here to arrange your return.

What is your return process?

Simply, email us here to arrange your return and refund.

Are mattress returns free?

Absolutely. If you consider your idyll mattress is not the right fit for you, you can send it back free of charge.

Who will remove my mattress if I decide to return it?

Once you've told us you wish to return your mattress, our delivery partner will contact you and they will organise the return with you.

What are the conditions to exchange my mattress?

We offer a 10-year guarantee on each idyll mattress. If your mattress fails within that period due to any manufacturing fault, we will exchange it for a brand new one. It does not cover wear and tear and customer damage.

Is the delivery free?

Delivery and returns are free of charge to most UK postcodes. There are a handful of exceptions, including the Highlands and Islands. A full list can be found in our T&Cs.

Do you have a mattress removal service?

To make space for your brand-new mattress we offer removal service, for a £40 fee we can take away your old mattress with our delivery partner.

Do I need to keep a receipt to validate the guarantee?

All your order details are securely stored in our system. However, if you want to keep a proof of purchase, your email containing your order information can be used as your receipt.

Is there a guarantee for the pillow, the mattress protector and sheet?

We offer a 1-year guarantee with our idyll pillows and our mattress protector.
